Large Port Issues
U.S. and international ports are facing tremendous challenges due to Covid, including supply chain delays, port congestion, and worker shortages causing delays moving cargoes by truck and rail. What are the challenges and solutions as we move forward to peak season?

Ed DeNike, President of SSA Containers. He will discuss the challenges of Port congestion at US West Coast ports that include Los Angeles, Long Beach, Oakland and Seattle/Tacoma and discuss ways that SSA has been working to expedite cargo-handling during the current congestion.
Cees van Pelt, Rotterdam Shortsea Terminals Special Projects Manager. He will discuss how shortsea and inland river business is developing at Rotterdam and how RST container handling is organized to maximize unloading and loading of ships and barges as well as loading onto trucks and trains.

Cyber Security
Cybersecurity is on the minds of many executives and board members globally. We are all aware of some of the recent high-profile incidents involving, ports, steamship lines, logistics providers and pipeline operations. The threat is spread across multiple areas of operations and types of businesses. On the maritime front, we have seen GPS jamming and spoofing, onboard ship operations infiltrated, global steamship lines attacked, and ports have also been targeted recently. In the broader supply chain, logistics providers, OEM firms, and the pipeline industry have all faced attacks. Companies, their Boards of Directors and government agencies have all started to pay more attention to this threat. With the global supply chain at risk, along with possible accidents and environmental incidents, this is a risk that must be addressed with proper attention and funding. This panel will discuss the current state of the problem, discuss some recent high-profile incidents, and talk about what companies are doing to protect themselves and their assets.
