Storms, Flooding & Sea Level Defense 2023

On November 8th, California Ports will be discussing sea level rise adaptation strategies and hear a report about the $110 billion cost for adaptation in the San Francisco Bay region.
The “Storms, Flooding & Sea Level Defense 2023” conference is a co-production of the Propeller Club of Northern California and the Society of American Military Engineers.

Rachael Hartofelis, Project Manager, MTC/ABAG and Dana Brechwald, Assistant Planning Director for Climate Adaptation at the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) will present the report’s findings.
The California port speakers will include:

- Kristin Decas, Executive Director, Port of Hueneme
- Kristine Zortman, Executive Director, Port of Redwood City
- Justin Luedy, Senior Environmental Specialist, Port of Long Beach
