Shipbuilding and ship repair is critical to the safe operation off vessels worldwide. As the design and construction of ships become more complex, the skills required to build those ships also become more demanding. The maintenance of an industrial base adequate to support shipyards is vital to the economic operation of these vessels in a country. The International Propeller Club supports initiatives to preserve and maintain a shipbuilding and repair base necessary to support the construction and operation of commercial vessels.
