Future of the Planet in the face of environmental stress must be addressed. Rising sea-levels will dramatically affect coastal areas and the marine transportation system. As an organization whose members live and work by water, whether it be inland rivers or coastal seaports, we are concerned about the impact that climate change will have on their lives at home and at work. Increased flooding on rivers and sea-level rise along the coast will directly impact on their homes, workplace, and families. The IPCUS is dedicated to promoting initiatives within the maritime industry to decrease air and water pollution to levels that will result in a sustainable planet.
