Beginning in 2009 with the geotechnical coring for Block Island, America’s first offshore wind farm, Louisiana State Representative, Dr. Joseph Orgeron, was fortunate enough to also be involved in the foundation installation and the Jones Act compliant feedering of components for the final turbine installation phase. He has since stayed active in this market and has attended countless offshore wind conferences, spoken on numerous panels, and his experiences has kept him in close contact with windfarm project developers, turbine manufacturers, European installers, cable-layers, and various offshore-use stakeholders.
