Join us for a lunch and learn with guest speaker

Lauren Nash, Warning Coordinator Meteorologist, National Weather Service to learn about her role and the process of issuing severe weather warnings.

Lauren Nash is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at NWS New Orleans/Baton Rouge since September 2020. She interfaces and interacts with local partners, making sure their needs are met and their products are well understood. She also oversees community outreach, quality control, improvements of their products and overall ensuring that they are a great community partner. Previously, she worked in Tallahassee, FL, Huntsville, AL, and New York City. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
